FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE $1,000 to win - TPS at THR - September 29 Kyle, TX. - Saturday night, September 29th will mark the season ending race for the Texas Pro Sedans touring series. TPS will hold the final 2007 event of their 32nd consecutive racing season at Thunderhill Raceway as part of the 11 th annual “Stock Car Spectacular”. TPS Race & Administrative Director, Neil Upchurch recently announced that $1,000 is guaranteed to the winner of the 32 lap TPS feature race in the “THR Stock Car Spectacular” race. In addition, the purse has been significantly increased over traditional field purse distribution payouts for the twenty four car starting field. The race will determine the Texas Pro Sedans 2007 Champion. Going into the September 29th special event, Sergio Hexsel of Live Oak, Texas leads Ja Lane of Houston by only 11 points for the TPS Driving Championship. Lane has already clinched the championship TPS 2007 “Rookie-of-the-Year” title. Both drivers have notched three wins this season. A total of 23 points is within reach of a driver scoring a “clean sweep” by earning all 3 pre-race bonus points, breaking the existing track record of 16.828 seconds worth 3 points and then winning the race and 17 points. The TPS racing format will consist of 2 Qualifying time trial laps followed by a 32 lap Feature Race for the Texas Pro Sedan four cylinder stock cars. A large field of 31 TPS cars and drivers is on record as having filed entry. The Feature Race length of 32 laps was designed to salute completion of TPS's 32nd consecutive season. The “Stock Car Spectacular” special event is the largest race of the season at Thunderhill Raceway and will include the following racing touring series and THR classes:
